Scuttle Bug Robot

The Scuttle Bug is a cute spinner bot that will whiz around your house exploring and making mayhem. Check out the video below to see it in action!

It has two modes of operation - you can either control it via an app on your phone/tablet OR it can go autonomous and use its onboard microswitch feelers to navigate its way around.

No need for expensive batteries, the Scuttle Bug comes with a recycled rechargeable battery as well as a cable that plugs into a standard phone charger. It also has a coloured LED onboard that shines up through the frosted body.

On the day you will be soldering all the components onto the printed circuit board we have designed specially for this project then assemble frame, wheels and microswitch assembly.

No previous experience is required and you’re welcome to bring a grown up if you want to.

Please note it is a one day workshop so students should only book for one session.
