Having worked as a sound engineer for many years I appreciate a good sound effect beautifully placed.  Introducing the Portable Sound Effects Board!  You can plug this unit into a normal computer and load up to 30 sound files onto it (as mp3's).  Then at the press of a button you can play any of your sounds through the onboard speaker.  Fancy adding some Minecraft Steve to your conversations, or a well timed quote from Star Wars?

Aside from the obvious humorous value of having portable sound effects we thought this unit has the potential to be used for many other things as well.  Cosplay, Instrument Tuning, Theatrical Sound Effects, Interactive Science Demonstrations, Escape-Room or Puzzle Game Prop, Pet Training Cue Box plus others we haven't thought of.

The unit has a rechargeable battery so is completely portable.  There is also an onboard volume control (via one of the push buttons) and it has an auxillary/headphone output so that you can plug it into a bigger sound system to really annoy the neighbours.

On the day you will be soldering all the components onto the printed circuit board we have designed then spend time choosing which effects you want to add to your box from the range we have available (you can update them at any time once you take it home).  

No previous experience is required and you’re welcome to bring a grown up if you want to.
