Clocks can be a bit boring but they don't need to be!  Introducing our LED Matrix Alarm Clock.  At 26cm wide and almost 10cm high with 75 computer controlled LED's you won't have any excuse for missing your important meetings.  Check out the video below to see the awesome colour effects in action.

This fully featured clock has 13 different colour modes that cycle and change their effect in real time.  For night time you have a dial that changes the brightness so it isn't distracting when in a bedroom.  It also has 3 programmable alarms that play tunes through the inbuilt speaker.

On the day you will get to solder up the custom printed circuit board we've designed for the project as well as the strips of programmable LEDs.  You'll  glue together the box and load the code onto the onboard Arduino microcontroller.  The unit is powered by USB but has a small backup battery that keeps time when it is turned off or unplugged, and of course you get to take it home with you at the end of the day.  

No previous experience is required and you’re welcome to bring a grown up if you want to.
