Last week we did bridge building. The challenge was to build 3 bridges for an mBot to cross.
First we watched a couple of videos about different types of bridges. This gave us ideas about what sort of structures would be strong. To build the bridges we had stocks and bolts to connect them.
From the video we saw that triangle shapes would be the most stable. In 3 teams we started building different designs. Here are some of them.
We didn’t quite finish, but had some pretty good bridges that were almost complete.
It was fun trying to come up with a design that would stay stable.
